New Delhi, August 29
BJP President JP Nadda today held a meeting with party MPs, including ministers, from Bihar to assess the ground situation before going for seat-sharing talks with the NDA allies ahead of the Assembly poll in the state.
During the deliberations, the BJP president is learnt to have asked the party MPs to take the onus of ensuring the NDA's candidates' victory in the elections, likely to take place in October-November. The BJP chief also asked the MPs to camp in at least 60 panchayats next month.
"The MPs have been asked to celebrate the birthday of
PM Narendra Modi on September 17 as Sewa Diwas (service day) by camping in their respective constituencies and ensuring that relief material reaches those affected by Covid-19 and floods," said a senior BJP functionary. Nadda is likely to start campaigning in the state after the Covid-19 restrictions are eased by the state administration, said the BJP functionary. — TNS
